In an effort to use football as a continue tool to promote tolerance and integration, the Mahatma Gandhi Human Rights Organisation staged an action day event featuring a match between DVSC and Kaposvár FC at the Diosgyori FC stadium.

Described as a high profile match, the host team lost by a lone goal.

In addition, another stadium event is coming up on 17th of November, 2012 at the Budapest Honvéd stadium. The match will be between Bp Honvéd vs. Haladás FC. It is also expected to be a high profile match with the main focus on respect for one another.

Meanwhile an interactive workshop aimed at different races was recently held at Németh Lászlo High School in Budapest suburb of district 8 where the participants were instructed to accept those different from them.

According to Mahatma Ghandi Human Rights founder, the students were told not to listen to slogans of hatred – even from their parents.

“Whenever you hear slogans of intolerance,” said Gibril Deen, “Just say we are all human beings”

The workshop was said to be based around the UEFA10 point-plan which compels clubs to combat racism and racial abuse in any form.
